Grilled Cheese Sandwich with Balsamic Date Jam & Fresh Dates

Dates, pitted

Hot water
120 ml
Balsamic vinegar
30 ml
Honey
10g
Glemon juice
10g
Salt

Crushed black pepper

Preperation
Total Time 30 minutes
Step 1

Soak dates in hot water for 10 minutes, then blend with the soaking water until smooth.

Step 2

Cook over low heat with balsamic vinegar, honey, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper for 8–10 minutes until thickened.

Step 3

Cool before using.

Step 4

Spread butter on the outside of the bread slices.

Step 5

Spread balsamic date jam on the inside, then add Brie, cheddar, diced fresh dates, toasted nuts, and thyme.

Step 6

Close the sandwich and grill over medium-low heat for 3–4 minutes per side until golden, crispy, and the cheese is melted.

Step 7

Cut in half and serve warm.
